Refund & Cancellation Policy

Plain-English summary: Cancel any time, no fees. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on first-time annual plans and a 3-day money-back guarantee on monthly plans. EU/UK consumers also have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. Refunds are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record.

1. Standard Money-Back Guarantee

  • Annual plans: request a full refund within 14 days of the first charge for any reason.
  • Monthly plans: request a full refund within 3 days of the first charge.
  • The guarantee applies only to your first paid period. Subsequent renewals are non-refundable.
  • One refund per customer / billing entity.

2. EU / UK Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer (not a business) located in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway or Iceland, you have the right under applicable consumer law to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of placing your order, without giving any reason.

By starting to use the Service immediately after purchase, you expressly agree that we begin performing the contract during the withdrawal period. Where you have used the Service before requesting withdrawal, we may pro-rate the refund for the value of the Service already consumed, in line with applicable law.

To exercise your withdrawal right, email billing@appstatus.io with your order number and the words "I withdraw from my contract".

3. How to Request a Refund

  1. Email billing@appstatus.io from the address registered on your account.
  2. Include your Paddle order ID (found in your Paddle invoice email) and a brief reason (optional).
  3. We forward eligible requests to Paddle, our Merchant of Record, who issues the refund.
  4. Refunds appear on the original payment method within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

4. Cancellation

  • Cancel any time from your billing portal — no fees, no penalties, no questions asked.
  • Your subscription remains active until the end of the paid period.
  • After the paid period ends, your account automatically downgrades to the Free plan.
  • Cancellation alone does not trigger a refund — see Section 1 if you want a refund.

5. Non-Refundable Items

  • Subscription renewals after the initial guarantee window
  • Add-on usage that has been delivered (e.g. extra SMS notifications already sent)
  • Accounts terminated for breach of the Terms or Acceptable Use Policy
  • Custom Enterprise contracts, which follow the refund terms in the signed agreement

6. Chargebacks

Please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank — we resolve refund requests quickly and a chargeback may suspend your account while Paddle investigates. Fraudulent chargebacks may be challenged with evidence and may result in account termination.
